Joseph E. Zemetra
Joe joined TTI as a scientist in 2014 specializing in analytical chemistry, chromatography and mass spectrometry. He is responsible for designing dynamic field sampling techniques for the collection of anaerobic bacteria from oil fields around the world. In addition to his laboratory work, Joe is focused on developing alternative EOR techniques including miscible gas floods and salinity modification. Prior to TTI, Joe developed analytical laboratory techniques for Luca Technologies. Many of these techniques are present in TTI's patent-protected BioEOR application.
Joe earned his BS in Chemistry from the Colorado School of Mines and a MS in Chemistry from the University of Denver, where his graduate work focused on the use of sol-gel techniques to encapsulate clay particles. Joe is a member of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS).
